Forging a Steel‑Willed YUGO Iron Army, Pressing Forward with Bold Resolve—A Chronicle of Team‑Building at Chongqing YUGO’s Wulong Fairy Gorge Rafting Expedition

Aug 05,2026

On August 1, coinciding with the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, Chongqing YUGO celebrated this special day—imbued with loyalty, responsibility, and a spirit of relentless striving—by organizing an exceptionally meaningful team-building event. The company rallied all employees to Wulong’s Fairy Gorge for an outdoor adventure featuring whitewater rafting, using the majestic mountains and rivers to temper resolve and the rushing currents to forge indomitable spirit. Through this experience, YUGO employees fully embodied the core ethos of daring to take on tough challenges, winning every battle, and working together in unity.

At dawn, the company’s premises were adorned with banners and flags, personnel stood in formation, and buses waited in neat rows. This team-building event was centered on the theme “Building a resilient Yugong Iron Army and forging an indomitable fighting spirit,” seamlessly integrating the spirit of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army with corporate team development. With a crisp, commanding order from the company’s leader, Jack Wang, “Let’s go!”, the buses filled with Yugong employees slowly departed the factory grounds, heading for Wulong’s Fairy Gorge. Inside the vehicles, the atmosphere was electric: employees shared insights from their work, exchanged experiences in overcoming challenges, and many seasoned staff recounted their struggles and triumphs in frontline production, international trade, and product R&D. Together, they pledged to carry the iron‑clad ethos of the PLA—unafraid of hardship, never admitting defeat, obedient to command, and charging forward as one—back to their posts, rallying it into a powerful force that drives quality improvement and innovation in the company’s nail‑gun products while expanding into overseas markets.

After a long drive, the team arrived at the Xiannüxia Rafting Scenic Area, renowned as the “First Rapids Gorge of Eastern Chongqing.” Lush green mountains rise on either bank, with towering cliffs standing in stark contrast, while the swift, undulating river winds through rugged terrain. The natural rapids and rocky shoals—like so many challenges along the path of business operations—perfectly echoed the original purpose of this team-building event: to forge resilience and determination. Once safety gear was donned, everyone split into groups and boarded their rafting kayaks, marking the official start of an aquatic “assault” that would test endurance, teamwork, and adaptability.

On the calm waters, team members worked in seamless coordination, paddling forward with clear roles and synchronized rhythms—orderly and efficient, much like a standardized assembly line or a cross‑functional export team seamlessly aligning to fulfill an order. When encountering steep rapids and treacherous bends with significant drops, spray splashed across their faces as the kayaks bucked and pitched through the waves. No one flinched; everyone gripped the boat’s handrails tightly, shouting encouragement in unison. The front row steered, the rear row braced with all their strength, and the entire crew banded together to withstand the pounding. At times, powerful currents caused the small boats to spin or run aground, but neighboring teams immediately reached out to lend a hand, pooling their strength to push the craft free—a vivid demonstration of the Yigong team’s spirit of mutual support and collective resilience in the face of adversity. Laughter, cheers, and the rhythmic splash of oars echoed through the canyon. Those who usually hunched over project plans, machined parts at the workbench, or fine‑tuned equipment in the workshop shed their fatigue amid the rushing waters, revealing the bold, tenacious, and resolute character of true warriors forging ahead.

During the rafting excursion, Jack Wang joined his employees on the same boat, listening closely to their voices from the front lines. He explained that choosing to hold a “Iron Army”–themed team-building event on the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army was deeply meaningful: just as the PLA safeguards the nation with its unwavering professionalism, YUGO must cultivate its industrial roots through the spirit of an iron army. In the face of fierce competition in the hardware tools industry and mounting pressures from expanding export operations across multiple overseas markets, all YUGO employees must, like today’s paddlers braving turbulent currents, fear no storms or challenges, rise to every obstacle, uphold rigorous quality standards and refine cutting‑edge products at home, while rallying together to open up new markets and build the YUGO brand. With the execution, fighting spirit, and unity of soldiers, they will firmly lay the foundation for the company’s sustainable growth.

A journey through mountains and waters, with a spirit that endures. As evening fell, this Fairy Gorge rafting team‑building event came to a successful close, and everyone set off on the return journey, brimming with exhilaration and rich in takeaways. This Army Day–themed team outing was more than just a refreshing outdoor excursion; it was also a crucible for strengthening our spirit and forging an even tighter‑knit team. The swift, raging currents of the canyon honed the Chongqing workers’ courage to face challenges head‑on, while the collaborative effort of working side by side deepened our sense of unity and purpose.

Looking ahead, all employees of Chongqing YUGO YuGong Machinery will internalize the iron‑troop spirit forged during this team‑building event and translate it into concrete actions. We will channel our relentless drive and determination into every aspect of production, technological R&D, and international sales—guided by discipline, armed with pragmatism, and united as one. Together, we will build a YuGong “iron army” that answers the call, fights with resolve, and wins every battle; stay true to our original commitment to the real economy; meticulously craft each pneumatic nail gun and lithium‑battery tool; and continue to deepen our presence in global markets, driving steady, high‑quality growth through tangible results and unwavering dedication.
